The BSSC Lions AFL women’s team made the trip to Ballarat for their SSV State Quarter Final today. The conditions were cold and dreary but the team played hard and left it all out on the field.

The team came up against a tough Montmorency SC side who took the points 8.7.55 to 3.3.21

All the girls played a hard and competitive brand off football and should be proud of their efforts.

Best on ground awards went to Freyja Pearce, Lexie Moss, Silver-Bell Morris and Poppy McPherson and goalkickers were Zoe Aldridge 1, Freyja Pearce 1, Keely Fullerton 1.

Well done to the whole team: Freyja Pearce (C), Lexie Moss, Zoe Aldridge, Silver-Bell Morris, Poppy McPherson, Lilly Stevenson, Taylah Boston, Keeiliyah Larson, Kaleah Bonnano, Macey Curnow, Jorja Hill, Keely Fullerton, Rhian Hobbs, Hannah Payne, Faith Reid, Tiani Shackles, Mackenzie Strawbridge, Pearl Sullivan and Lucette Wallace.

A huge thank-you to Emila Moss for coaching and to Drew Cathcart and John Vanston for their help for the day. A big thank-you to student helpers Nic Roberts, Senna Marsilli, Jasmine Crothers and Macey Boland.
