It is an honour to be appointed to the role of Principal of this wonderful college.

Having worked over half my life as a teacher and Assistant Principal at Bendigo Senior Secondary College (BSSC), I am passionate about working with our staff to ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach their full academic and personal potential.

It is a privilege to support young people through Years 11 and 12 and to ensure that they are thoroughly prepared for the next important step, as they transition into adulthood.  As the largest senior secondary provider in Victoria, BSSC is somewhat of a specialist school, and our speciality is the VCE.  Our staff are incredibly dedicated and are experts in their field, and our college prides itself on achieving excellent academic results. We have the largest range of subjects in the State within the VCE, the VCE Vocational Major and the Victorian Pathways Certificate, ensuring that every student is able to tailor a program that meets their interests and skills.  Our college caters for all pathway choices and our students successfully move on to university, TAFE, apprenticeships, other further study, or employment.

Our college environment is extremely inclusive, where all students are known, understood and cared for. A key contributor to our success is the strong relationships that are formed between students and staff.  This environment ensures that everybody within our college community can thrive.  Every student has many opportunities available to extend themselves, and all students are encouraged to strive for continuous improvement and always being their best.

I look forward to continuing to work with all in our college community to nurture empathetic, caring, capable and confident young people who succeed throughout and beyond their time at BSSC.
