This morning 15 BSSC Applied Computing students visited Bendigo Bank and Latrobe University to learn more about what it’s like to work in the IT industry.
Students were guided by representatives of Bendigo Bank to understand through the crucial role that digital technology plays in the banking sector.
An overview of the roles of current young IT workers employed at the bank, their employment journey and the dynamic and technical aspects of the digital world, were all covered.
Students then travelled to Latrobe to visit their computer labs and participate in a small graphic activity using Python.
What a great way for students to see the multitude of careers and roles on offer in this fast-moving and highly skilled working environment.
