Unit 3 Geography students gained some valuable insights into town planning processes today when their class was visited by City of Greater Bendigo planner, Brendan Aikman and Heather Wearne from the Marong Community Action Group.
The students are preparing a fieldwork report on the liveability of Marong after visiting the development site in early May.
Today they explored issues from both sides of the development process—a concerned long-term resident and a local government bureaucrat—covering topics such as infrastructure, transport, the natural environment, employment and more.
