What a privilege it was to interview Zac Sheehan on Monday 30 November for an upcoming feature article in the Bendigo Magazine. Zac plays cricket for the St Paul’s club in the Victorian Blind Cricket Association and early next year will take the field with the Australian team in Adelaide to play for the Ashes.

Zac is not only one of BSSC’s great sporting success stories, but as anyone who knows him will agree, a wonderful citizen and supporter of the college in so many ways.

The Bendigo Magazine article won’t be out until Autumn 2016, but in the meantime here’s a stat to put Zac’s achievement in perspective.

He is one of only two BSSC/Bendigo High alumni to have played international cricket for Australia. The other was Bill Woodfull (Class of 1913) who captained Australia in the infamous Bodyline series in 1932/33 and batted alongside Don Bradman.

Woodfull was widely admired by his players and observers for his sportsmanship and strength of character.

You’re in fine company Zac!
