AFL GIRLS
The BSSC girls football team had a great win against Catherine McAuley College in last week’s Sandhurst Division competition. In cold and windy conditions, the girls started really well and managed to kick two goals against the wind in the first half, whilst keeping CMC to just two points. The girls played exceptional football in the second half to run away with an 8.5.53 to 0.2.2 win.

They now progress to the Loddon Mallee Region finals on Wednesday 30 May.
AFL SUN COUNTRY CUP
Great result for our boys 2nd XVIII football team this week, defeating Catherine McAuley College by 12 points. After trailing by 8 points at ½ time, the boys dominated play in the third quarter with the wind at their backs, kicking 3.8 to 0.1 to go into the final quarter with a 17 point lead. They held on in the last quarter to win 6.17.53 to 5.11.41.

SOCCER – SANDHURST DIVISION
Our boys soccer team has progressed to the Loddon Mallee Region finals following their success at this week’s Sandhurst Division competition. They won both games on the day, defeating Marist College 9-0 and then Catherine McAuley College 2-1. The boys conceded a penalty goal in the first 30 seconds of their game against CMC, but recovered well to score twice without conceding another goal.

The Loddon Mallee Region finals are scheduled for Monday 28 May.
