Netball (boys) – Netball Victoria Schools Championships

A great result for our boys netball team, winning their qualifying division of the Netball Victoria Schools Championships. They now progress to the finals in early September. The team got off to a slow start at the State Netball Hockey Centre, going down by one goal in their first game against Chairo Christian School. They followed up with three good wins against St Monicas College (11 – 1), Carrum Downs SC (11 – 3), and Casterton SC. (12 – 1). Chairo Christian School was then defeated in their last game, allowing the BSSC boys to win overall due to a better percentage. Their intense defensive pressure over the whole court created a high number of turnovers and was a major factor in their success, with all opposition teams struggling to find scoring opportunities.

Team members were Callum Draper, Simon Dundas, Guy Hickman, Tyler McLeod, Sam Milne, Keelan Payne, Lachlan Ratcliffe, and Donte Thomas. Team coach was Kara Fox.
