The Bendigo Senior Secondary College (BSSC) qualified through to the School Sport Victoria (SSV) State Championships in Table Tennis. The event was held at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on Wednesday 13th August.
Our team consisted of 6 players with the matches requiring 4 singles and 2 doubles. The standard of competition was high with state and national competitors playing for other schools.
Ben Dunnicliff-Wells, Aditya Bolitho, Zhan Chen, Reuben Beattie, Michael McLean and Cooper Poulton represented BSSC for the 2025 Table Tennis Championships.
The competition structure was two pools of four teams which guaranteed everyone at least three matches for the day. The top two teams from each pool advanced to the finals.
Nossal High School, University High School and Wodonga Senior Secondary College were our three opponents for the day. Unfortunately, we were unable to come away with a win but were able to take a couple of sets off Wodonga in the last match of the day.
