The Zonta Club of Bendigo is seeking volunteer staff and students from BSSC to help assemble Birthing Kits for distribution to women in Third World Countries. The Assembly Day will be held in the BSSC Language Centre on Saturday 29 June from 10am to 2:30pm.

For further information contact Kim Stewart:

Zonta Birthing Kits provide a clean and safe birthing environment for women without access to professional medical care. The lives of thousands of women and babies in third world countries have been saved through this project. The kits contain six basic items: a plastic sheet, soap, two gloves, sterile scalpel blade, three cords and five gauze squares. As a volunteer, you’ll assemble these items into small bags, meet lots of other caring, like-minded people, and do your bit to save the lives of women and children.
