On Wednesday 8 June BSSC staff were part of a highly successful day exploring the scope of several local businesses; finding out about needs for employee skill sets and future job market forecasts. Those in attendance represented the Bendigo Schools TTC consortium schools, the City of Greater Bendigo and the GLLEN. The Forum was capably facilitated by Tom Heenan, BSTTC Industry Facilitator, with input and support from the Economic Development Unit from the CoGB.
The day included an enthralling tour of Thales, followed by spotlight presentations from Hazeldenes, Master Builders Association Victoria, Bendigo Health and Viatek Bendigo at the Department of Education Regional Office.
Staff representing BSSC included Rhonda Pithie, Trish White, Catherine Trimnell, David Jacob, Daryl King, Mark Bannerman, Peter Hamilton, Tim White and Jenny Moloney.
