All nine BSSC students, along with teachers Erin and Dan, have successfully completed the 65 km Overland Track in North-West Tasmania.

Cold and wet weather challenged the well prepared group during their first two days. Mist and cloud obliterated the potentially spectacular scenery, and the only views of Cradle Mountain came at a distance two days later.

However, over the remaining four days, the crew dried out, swam, hiked and all climbed Mt Ossa – the highest mountain in Tasmania.

During the debrief on the final night, students described their Tassie trek as “the journey of a lifetime.”

The Overland Track is one of many fantastic travel opportunities open to students in 2016.
