Last evening students, their families, and art teachers from local Bendigo (BEP) schools gathered for the fourth combined exhibition of student artwork.
Weeroona College Bendigo, Eaglehawk Secondary College, Crusoe College, Bendigo South East College and BSSC art and technology students demonstrated their fabulous, imaginative, creative and sometimes confronting capacity to express themselves through media from ceramics to film, painting to photography, woodwork to graphic design, and art fashion to sculpture.
BSSC students ‘did us proud’ leading this important event. MC for the evening was BSSC student, Eve Steptoe. Acknowledgement of Country was brought by Ziah Ison and music performed by Ariya Marwood and Orla Nunan.
The standard was—as you can see—incredibly impressive and guests must have had a hard time nominating favourites from the visual feast that confronted them.
Crowd favourites, who took home a small prize, were:
– Weeroona College: Isabella Hocking ‘Famous person portrait’
– Eaglehawk Secondary College: Emma Denton ‘Dracula portrait’
– Crusoe College: Nikola Edwards ‘Self portrait’
– Bendigo South East College: Sydnie Kemp ‘Pop art portrait’
– BSSC: Andrew Chappel ‘From forgotten to found’
