VET Hospitality students took their food service skills to another level this week, preparing an amazing menu for staff and transforming their classroom into a restaurant.

As part of their Unit 3/4 studies, students are required to complete 12 food services throughout the year, and students took the opportunity to prepare something very special indeed, including a wonderfully tender grilled duck breast, and a couple of award-winning MasterChef desserts.

The feedback from diners was unanimous – the meals looked and tasted incredible. Wednesday’s group even received an impromptu standing ovation in the kitchen after service.

Congratulations to all the students who cooked and served this week. The standard of food coming from the Ulumbarra kitchens is super impressive.
