It is no wonder that John Cariani’s play, Almost, Maine, has received such glowing reviews. The way that the perennially engrossing topic of love—found and lost—is explored in these vignettes, unfailingly draws the audience into moments of intense intimacy between the numerous couples.

Watching BSSC’s performing arts students conquer roles that demanded great intensity, yet also capacities for humour (there are some very very funny moments in this play!) left those watching completely engrossed—and no doubt wishing for more when the final vignette ended.

There was virtually no room for error in this play, and if any lines were missed on opening night it was not apparent. The actors, support and production crew have created two hours of sheer entertainment.

Don’t miss this fantastic production.
