BSSC Student Council is having its first fundraising event for the year throughout the last week of Term One. The fundraiser is for Bendigo Foodshare’s Million Meals Campaign.
Bendigo Foodshare is community owned and does not receive government funding. The organisation sources and donates food to a number of relief agencies to support those in need.

Twenty-five per cent of people in the City of Greater Bendigo do not have enough food for their next meal at some time each year. Bendigo Foodshare is intent on changing this and Million Meals is part of the solution. Foodshare wants to raise $63,000 to provide food for a million meals to those in need in Central Victoria and BSSC’s Student Council wants to help, but we need your support!

Throughout the last week of school, Student Council members will be promoting our fundraising venture ‘Spoiling those you love’ by selling Easter eggs of various sizes. Sales will be made in the old canteen space of E block and students will also be walking around the school selling eggs. You can purchase the eggs Monday morning after advisory (10:10am to 10:30am) and Wednesday and Thursday during Period One (8:50am – 9:30am) and lunchtime (12:55pm and 1:25pm).
All funds raised will go directly to Bendigo Foodshare.

This is a wonderful organisation that deserves our support and what better way to support them than spoiling those around you.
