Around 1000 new students come to BSSC annually, from many different schools, to study VCE or VCAL.  New students, along with present students continuing to Year 12, attend a three-day orientation program called Step Up.

Step Up will take place from Wednesday 29 November until Friday 1 December and commences with a new students assembly in the Ulumbarra theatre at 8.50am on Wednesday 29 November.

Step Up is a great opportunity for students to develop familiarity with the college and explore all that BSSC has to offer.

Perhaps the best features of Step Up is students having the opportunity to attend classes in some of the subjects they have chosen.

“By attending their 2018 classes during Step Up, students ensure they are in the right program for success next year,” Pathways and Transition Manager Simon Wood said.

Don’t forget to bring pens and paper/exercise books.

Subject change: There will also be a limited opportunity to change subjects throughout the week following Step Up. Appointments, booked through Compass, are available at the following times: Tuesday 5 December (9am-1 pm), Wednesday 6 December (11am-3pm), Thursday 7 December (3pm-7pm), Friday 8 December (9am-1pm).

Please note that you will only be able to make bookings to discuss subject changes after 9am on Friday 1 December. Prior to Step Up, subject changes can be made by contacting the enrolments helpdesk: enrolments@bssc.edu.au. Or call the college on 5443 1222.

BSSC looks forward to welcoming you!
