Great day on the track for BSSC athletes

BSSC athletes shone at the SSV State Track & Field Finals held yesterday at the Lakeside Stadium in Albert Park. Harrison Boyd finished the day a multi-event State Champion, winning his 800m and 1500m finals, while Jayden Padgem won the 3000m final – a brilliant achievement by both athletes.

Congratulations to Will Beaton who medaled in all four of his events and achieving personal bests in two.

Taine Bishop and Jorja Hill placed second in the state for each of their events with impressive displays, while Cameron Smith and Phoebe Lonsdale finished third in the 400m and 1500m respectively.

Well done to Max Rowe who finished fifth in the 1500m and Jordan Suter who finished sixth in the 800m.

In the final event for the day our 4x100m 17yr old relay team placed second in the state; a massive achievement. The BSSC community is extremely proud of all ten students for their effort, sportsmanship and commitment yesterday.
