Victorian Schools Cycling Championships – regional event
Our road cyclists battled cold and windy conditions at Huntly during the Victorian Schools Cycling Championships. Sam Dean was successful in winning the boys 19-year novice event, with Pat Gretgrix third. Teesha Smedley was second in the girls 19-year racing event, and Nathan Burrell finished third in the boys 19-year racing event. Those four riders, along with Nick Simpson and Connor Sens (boys 19-year racing), Ethan Hanley (boys 19-year novice), and Triston Todd (boys 17-year novice) have all qualified for the VSCC finals by finishing in the top six place-getters. The VSCC finals will be held in Bendigo on Sunday 9 October.
