CRICKET (BOYS) – SANDHURST DIVISION RESULTS
The BSSC boys cricket team has progressed to the Loddon Mallee Region Finals after winning the Sandhurst Division competition. The team won its opening game against Girton and then defeated Catherine McAuley College in the final.
In the first game, BSSC restricted Girton to 97 from their 20 overs. Bradman Constable took 3 for 13 from 3 overs, and all other bowlers were very economical. Chasing 98 to win, Tom Campbell (32 off 29 balls) and Bradman Constable (60 off 30 balls) passed the score in 9 overs without the loss of a wicket.
In the final against CMC, BSSC batted first and made 7 for 153. Darcy Hunter top scored making 46, with valuable contributions from Bradman Constable (28), Campbell Smith (27), and Tom Campbell (21). In reply CMC made 120 with Connor Lyon and Tom Purcell picking up a couple of wickets each.
Well done to team members Tom Campbell, Jacob Cassells, Bradman Constable, Bailey Dunn, Darcy Hunter, Connor Lyon, Max McMurray, Tom Purcell, Campbell Smith, Hudson Storey, Ryley Taylor, and coach, Duane Anderson.
