The Senior Girls and Boys competed in the School Sport Victoria (SSV) Loddon Mallee Region (LMR) Volleyball competition which was held in Mildura on Tuesday 28th April.
The format is best of three sets, first to 20 with a 2pt lead in the first two sets and the third set is to 15 with a 2pt advantage.
The Senior Boys played against Mildura SC, Kerang and Robinvale. The boys played the hardest game first against Mildura SC. The first set was close and went down 19-21. The team fought back and took the second set 20-18 while going down 15-12 in the third. The team finished with a runners up pennant after winning against Kerang and Robinvale.
The Senior Girls won the LMR event with a tight win over Mildura Senior College. The team settled the nerves early with a 20-18 win in the first set. Mildura came back in the second set and led early before our girls coming away with a 2 set to 0 win. The BSSC Lions will now play in the SSV State Championships on Thursday 14th May in Melbourne.
