The BSSC Lions showed true passion and skill at the Senior AFL Girls School Sport Victoria (SSV) Loddon Mallee Region (LMR) on Wednesday 20th May in Moama.
2x 20 minute halves were played against Mildura SC and St Josephs Echuca. The first match was against Mildura, Mildura had plenty of the play early but unable to capitalise. The Lions showed poise in front of goal and was able to lead by 2 goals at half time. The team opened up the game in the second half and took the win by 38pts.
The first half of the second game against St Joeys was a scrappy contest with neither team able to move the ball freely. The second half was much better with the Lions kicking four goals to break away from their opponents.
A huge thank you to Emila Moss for coaching the team along with Seb Gray, Ari Morrissey (Runners), Jasmine Dowsing, Eliza Rotherham (Time Keeper), Sam Hill, Sophie Tyrrell, Jordan Korp, Lylee McDonald, Georgia Stevens (Goal umpires and water carriers).
