What did you want to do beyond Year 12? What are you doing now?

I wanted to be a Pharmacist when I was in Year 12, but became a Litigation Lawyer and am now an Executive Manager and Director (LLB, BSc (Chemistry) MAICD).

What do you love about the work you do now?

I love strategising; using design principles to create processes and systems, particularly for good governance; creating inclusive workplaces that value every persons’ contribution; and leading and inspiring others to be their best.

What’s one of your most vivid memories of your time at the college?

Making a mini hydrogen balloon bomb in Chemistry and scaring the kids at the primary school next door.

Was there a particular teacher or staff member that inspired you? Why?

Peter Cox – he made science fun and accessible for every student, and was truly supportive of every student.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to your 16-year-old self?

Do what you love and what you are good at; believe in your abilities and value the contribution you can make.
