Grade Six students from Eaglehawk Primary School visited the Trades Training Centre at BSSC today as part of their Passions and Pathways Program.
This program is designed to expose the students to a variety of jobs, the pathways into them, and the qualifications and qualities needed to get there.
BSSC is just one site the students visit. They also spend time at La Trobe University, Penno Smash Repairs, Bendigo Hospital, Jools for Jim and Monash Medical Centre.
Their time at BSSC gave them a chance to see VET Auto students working on cars, the Energy Vehicle construction team and students building with wood.
“So, what do you want to be when you grow up?” we asked the students.
“A motor mechanic.”
“And actress.”
“A builder.”
Good to know that BSSC offers pathway into all these careers.
