BSSC teachers and education support staff, along with staff from the local 7-10 colleges, came together for a series of professional development sessions and curriculum-based workshops for today’s Bendigo Education Plan (BEP) combined curriculum day.

Staff from Bendigo South East College, Eaglehawk Secondary College, Weeroona College, Crusoe College and BSSC heard from a range of guest speakers including David Howes, Deputy Secretary at the Department of Education.

BSSC Assistant Principal, Kylie Hand, said today ‘s event was a great opportunity for collaboration between Bendigo schools.

“Bringing together all teaching staff from each of the five government secondary schools allows us the time to collaborate on our shared goals,” she said.

“Doing so means that the important work of creating a consistent curriculum is continued, resulting in Bendigo students being able to transition from any of the 7-10 colleges to BSSC more seamlessly.”

“Seeing all teachers work together shows that education in Bendigo is in very good hands.”
