Today a group of learners from NETschool presented a cheque to Foodshare’s Bridget Bentley.

They represented BSSC students from both campuses who participated in the successful BSSC Market Day which raised funds for both Bendigo Foodshare and BARC.

Bridget showed the group the impressive new Foodshare warehouse which hopes to support even more central Victorian families, giving Learners a better understanding of the vital role Foodshare plays in our community.

Students learnt about businesses and community drives that also support Foodshare—as well as the volunteers who contribute their time and efforts to support individuals and families living with food insecurity.

Not only does Foodshare provide donated food, but they are now growing food and have ambitious and exciting plans for expansion in the near future.

On Saturday November 9th from 10am until 12noon, Bendigo Foodshare will be offering public tours and celebrating the opening of their new warehouse on the corner of Belle Vue and Breen Streets, Golden Square—right alongside the Bendigo Farmer’s Market which is also returning to Golden Square.
