Congratulations to the four BSSC students who have been selected as local finalists in the Lions Club Youth of the Year program.
Janae Smith, Darcie Andrea, Brandon Mc Innes and Kelly Phan were members of the debating club in 2015 and their applications to Lions Youth of the Year have resulted in all of them making the regional final.
This is the second year that Janae has been involved, winning the public speaking component last year. She is representing the Eaglehawk Lions Club, Darcie is representing Maiden Gully, Kelly is representing Bendigo and Brandon is representing Strathfieldsaye.
From here, students will attend an interview and provide a presentation which will be used to determine whether they progress to the final.
