Year 11 Legal Studies students were confronted with a crime scene when they arrived for class today.
The ‘Whodunnit’ scenario was an introduction to the criminal offence of murder.
Students were presented with a criminal case (an actual murder case from 1960) then broke up into four separate detective teams.
Their job? To gather evidence in rounds and to try to determine the main suspect with five pieces of supportive evidence that could be used to proceed to a committal hearing and then to a criminal trial.
Students were tested on their prior knowledge of murder and introduced to new concepts throughout the process.
