Claudia Hardingham – Year 12

What are the biggest challenges for you learning at home?

Staying on top of things, keeping motivated to do the work, and not being able to see my mates. Finding a balance between school and my job has also been a challenge.

What do you like about learning at home?

Not having to get up extra early to get ready and get to school.

Have you got a favourite place at home to work?

In my bedroom, at my desk mostly, but outside when I can.

What’s you ISO exercise of choice?

Walking my dog when the weather is nice enough.

Any funny, unexpected things that have happened as a result of learning at home?

Most days, wearing my pyjama bottoms while on meetings!

What do you miss most about physically going to school?

Not being able to see my group of friends every day.

What’s something you do to completely switch off from study?

Just try to follow my timetable as closely as possible so that when school is finished, I can do my best to switch off from it.

Anything you’d like to say to the rest of the BSSC community during lockdown?

Do your best to keep up with the work, and make it FUN! Keep in contact with friends and make sure they’re doing okay. Think of the positives and we’ll get through this together.
