“Social Enterprises are businesses that trade to intentionally tackle social problems, improve communities, provide people access to employment and training, or help the environment

If you’re between 15 and 18 – have an interest or a great idea for starting your own social enterprise – or just want to make a positive impact on the world around you – then
YMCA’s Launchpad project may be for you!

This free and fantastic opportunity includes the following:

  • Travel to Melbourne with like-minded young people on August 9th to tour amazingsocial enterprises. The tour facilitated by YMCA Victoria will help you gain valuable insight into what a social enterprise is, and how creativity and passion can be harnessed to make a big difference in the lives of others.
  • Participate in a one day workshop in Bendigo on August 16th where you will be guided to drill down into what really matters to you, develop enterprise skills, and create a social impact plan
  • Pitch an idea as part of a team and if you get the nod, receive seed funding to start your own social enterprise while being supported and mentored by local business experts along with YMCA staff.

Places are limited so register your interest ASAP by contacting Jamie Roberts, Youth Empowerment Coordinator at Bendigo YMCA via:
