Congratulations to Year 12 Biology student, Caitlin Groves, who is participating in the University of Melbourne Science Extension program. Caitlin travels to the university every Tuesday for a two-hour prac session and a one-hour tutorial.

“It was pretty nerve racking to begin with,” Caitlin said, “but it’s a great opportunity to get used to the university environment, the people, and the different ways universities do things. There are over 100 people in each prac session, so it’s very different to what I’m used to at BSSC.”

Caitlin hopes the extension program will be a ‘foot in the door’ to studying a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne after she graduates from BSSC.
