BSSC welcomed four new international students, and welcomed back four others at a special lunchtime gathering in the Language Centre today.
The students were officially welcomed to the college by Assistant Principal International Programs, Bronnie Bishop, and BSSC Principal, Dale Pearce.
“Your presence here is so important to us as a school,” Mr Pearce said. “You enrich the life of the college by sharing your life experiences and your culture.
“We hope you’re settling in well with your host families and your classes here at BSSC.”
The students were also warmly welcomed by their peers in the Student Leadership Team, with a game of human bingo being the perfect icebreaker for students to get to know one another and quickly find what they have in common.
Our newest international students are Chenyang Li from China, Jibril Krischnan from the Philippines, Anna Biju from India (via Saudia Arabia) and Kevin Padamadan from India , who has lived in Kuwait for many years.
Returning students are Yiyang Shi, Junxiao Li, Qiaochu Weng and Jinghong Zu.
If you have a class with any of these students, make them feel welcome. They have so many great stories to share!
