Arena spectacular for Year 12 graduates
Over 3000 people came together as BSSC’s Year 12 students graduated at Red Energy Arena tonight—and what a wonderful celebration it was.
The first single-ceremony graduation event that the college has had in many years gave us a sense of just how big our Year 12 community is.
Flawlessly hosted by Year 11 Student Ambassadors, Chloe Hercus and Brooke Ludeman, the ceremony commenced with an Acknowledgement of Country delivered by Terri Flaherty.
Language students welcomed guests in the languages they study and the Australian National Anthem was performed by Ella Honey and Harvey Jenkyn-Taylor.
BSSC’s seasoned and incredibly talented music students provided quality entertainment, performing ‘On My Mind’ and ‘You’re the Voice’.
Guest speaker, Caleb Maxwell—Class of 2008—encouraged students to continue to learn beyond their Bendigo Senior years.
“This might be the end of school, but it’s not the end of your education: life is one big classroom,” says Caleb. “Whether it’s a new job, new people or a tough season – stay open, stay curious, and never stop learning.”
Kylie Hand impressed upon students the importance of relationships and kindness and expressed her deep pride in the 2025 graduates.
“As you leave here tonight, leave knowing that we are all incredibly proud of all of you.”
Student Ambassadors thanked parents and carers, teachers and support staff, and their peers, for everything they have done to make this year as smooth as possible.
A memorable and inspiring evening, the 2025 Graduation event is a huge credit to the team of dedicated BSSC staff who planned and supported this wonderful celebration.
A selection of photos will be posted on our Facebook page, and a link to all of the photos will be published on Compass this week.
Congratulations Class of 2025—you did it!
