BSSC has welcomed 11 students and two teachers from Institution Saint Louis in Saumur, France who will spend four days with us in Bendigo.

Today the students took part in Marie Boulanger’s French class before enjoying a welcome lunch in the Language Centre – a chance to get to know their host siblings. Already there was plenty of laughter and sharing of stories so clearly everyone was feeling right at home.

The group will visit the Central Deborah Mine, the Talking Tram and spend a day at Melville Caves to get a feel for the Australian bush.

“This is the first time the school has done a full exchange, so we’re really excited to be hosting our friends from France,” Marie said.

“Students from BSSC will be visiting the Institution Saint Louis as part of the France/Germany trip in December, so they will be able to keep those friendships alive.”
