We are very fortunate to have secured the services of local dentist Dr Luke Vale to offer free dental screenings to all BSSC students. The screenings will take place at the BSSC Wellbeing Centre on Wednesday 15 May and Wednesday 22 May.
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a Medicare program that offers families up to $1000 per child (aged 2-17) over two years to cover the costs of some dental services, if eligible.
If you have turned 18 this year, you are eligible to use the $1000 before the end of 2019. The dental services covered include examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals and extractions. Orthodontic and cosmetic dental work is NOT covered by the program.
