ParticipACTION Week continued on Thursday with delicious free food in the plaza at lunchtime.

Year 11 Hospitality students prepared a staggering 280 burgers this morning and baked 250 bread rolls, before the Year 12 students took over to cook and serve to the lunchtime throng… a queue that stretched across the plaza.

Diners had the choice of adding salad, sautéed mushrooms, caramalised onion and mayonnaise to construct their perfect burger.

For sweet tooths, the cupcakes in a cone were the perfect accompaniment, with a choice of blue, black or pink icing and sprinkles to top it off.

EAL VCAL students ensured that those who missed out on a burger didn’t go hungry, hosting a sausage sizzle fundraiser.
