BSSC has again been fortunate enough to receive 15 tickets to the Communities in Control conference.

The title for this year’s conference is: ‘Get Angry. Then Get Organised’.

Each year 15 lucky Bendigo Senior Secondary College students are sponsored to attend a two day conference, which explores inspiring ideas and opinions from distinguished community leaders. This year’s guests include:

Lee Lin Chin: news presenter, journalist, fashionista, social media sensation.

Tracey Spicer: journalist, advocate.

Mariam Veiszedeh: Lawyer, diversity and inclusion practitioner, advocate and social commetator.

David Mann: executive director Refugee Legal.

Dr Phoebe Wynn-Pope: refugee advocate, daughter of former PM, the Righ Hon Malcolm Fraser.

When:  Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 May   (Students must commit to the full two days to be eligible to attend. Please consider the SACs you will have in this week prior to making a commitment)

Where:  Moonee Valley Racing Club in Melbourne. Accommodation will be at the Moonee Valley View Apartments.

Cost: $110 covers entry, accommodation, transport and lunches. Students will need own funds for dinner on the 20th and breakfast on the 21st.

If you would like to attend, you will need to pay $110 to the finance office to secure your place. First in, best dressed!
