Congratulations to all the BSSC students who contributed to the State Secondary Colleges Combined Student Art Show for 2016. The show was opened on Tuesday evening by Director of the Bendigo Art Gallery, Karen Quinlan, who spoke about the importance of art in schools and the difficulty she had in choosing a winning entry from each of the secondary colleges.

Shona Swan was the winning BSSC artist with her stunning sculptures of a fox, wolf and chicken created from florist wire and watercolour paper. The quality and variety of work from our students was truly impressive.

Guest were also treated to a wonderful performance by the Bendigo Colleges’ Chamber Strings.

The exhibition ran from Tuesday to Thursday in the Ulumbarra Theatre  foyer, showcasing painting, drawing, ceramics, photography, multi-media, art fashion and sculpture.

The exhibition brought together work from students at Bendigo Senior Secondary College, East Loddon P-12 College, Eaglehawk Secondary College, Bendigo South East Secondary College, Weeroona College Bendigo and Crusoe College.
