BSSC has five vacant positions to fill for 2016 on the College Council. Nominations are now open and will close at 4 pm on Monday 22 February.
BSSC is seeking nominations to fill three parent member vacancies and two Department of Education and Training employee vacancies on the College Council. This is a great opportunity to contribute and shape the future directions of the college.
The elected members of College Council will commence their positions at the meeting on 15 March.
All government schools in Victoria have a school council. They are legally formed bodies that are given powers to set the key directions of a school within centrally provided guidelines. In doing this, a school council is able to directly influence the quality of education that the school provides for its students.
Nominations forms can be downloaded from BSSC’s web site, picked up from the general office, or emailed on request.
Parents can self-nominate or be nominated by another person.
