Wellbeing Week is back at BSSC in 2022 bigger and better than ever. From August 22nd to 26th there will be great live music and activities in the plaza each day, culminating on Friday with Wear It Purple Day and a free barbecue lunch.

Wellbeing Week is a great opportunity to beat the winter blues and come together as a whole college community.

Here’s the list of activities for the week:

Monday 22nd August

All of Year 12 group photo, followed by lunch in the Ulumbarra Foyer.

Grim Fawkner performing at lunchtime in the plaza.

Rambling man, Grim Fawkner, is no stranger to stages and streets across the globe and at home. The epitome of the itinerant musician, he draws together tales and musings from his travels and is as likely to deliver them in soft ballad form as he is face-meltingly intricate and upbeat.

Tuesday 23rd August

Polly Filla lunchtime performance in the plaza.

Drag Performer, Costume Creator & Technicolor Nightlife Goddess, Polly Filla, is one of Australia’s most iconic drag queens who offers something for everyone: music, comedy, and theatre, while teaching deeper lessons on diversity, self-love and an appreciation of others.

Wednesday 24th August

Farmer Darryl’s Animal Farm.

Bill Barber performing at lunchtime in the plaza.

Bill Barber is a songwriter with a powerful, raw, deeply personal and at times brutally honest approach. His music is always deep-rooted in the Blues.

“Bill Barber is the next in line to become one of Australia’s Blues greats” – Lloyd Spiegel
