Four BSSC students will perform in a ‘Celebration’ concert at the Capital Theatre this weekend as part of the Itet chamber music program.
Hanley Rorke, Elise Close, Sage Cooper and Manny Maund are all participants in an innovative and inspiring string chamber music program (Itet) created by John Noble for students in regional and rural Victoria.
Each Itet ensemble receives monthly mentoring sessions with John and other professional musicians and are supported by their local community, schools and government.
The concert this Sunday 13th March features a “dream team” of Orchestra Victoria musicians, members of Flinders Quartet, local Bendigo Symphony players, and students from two local secondary schools.
All ensembles will perform their own concert piece, and then join together to perform two combined pieces—followed by Itet’s professional mentors, who will present a few pieces of their own.
