In 2015, over 250 students represented BSSC in a variety of sports. In 2016, numerous opportunities to participate in sport will be available once again.

There are several ways to find out about the sporting calendar. You can:

  • check this section of eNews each week
  • follow the BSSC Facebook page
  • monitor the noticeboards outside the Sport office and in the library
  • check Compass and your BSSC email regularly

There is currently some information regarding Sport on Compass. The information contains a link which will allow you to indicate your interest in a range of sports.

For any enquiries about Sport, please contact Director of Sport, Drew Cathcart, on 0419 139 591 or cathcart.drew@bssc.edu.au

Alternatively, students can call in to the Sport office located just inside the entrance to the old jail. As you walk through the archway, the office is located through the first door on your left (sign outside the door). You are welcome to call in at any time.

The first sporting event on the 2016 calendar is the Aquatic Challenge Day on Tuesday 2 February. Traditionally, the Golden Goggles event is held as part of the Aquatic Challenge. This is a 50m freestyle event for boys and girls, and anyone is welcome to swim in the race. If you are interested in participating in the Golden Goggles event, please contact Drew Cathcart prior to Tuesday or nominate on the day.
