More than 500 teachers from across the region gathered at Bendigo Senior Secondary College today for day four of training in the Berry Street Education Model (BSEM).

BSEM equips schools with practical, classroom-based strategies to increase the engagement of all students, including those with complex, unmet learning needs.

The model enables schools to support students’ self-regulation, relationships and wellbeing to increase student engagement and significantly improve academic achievement.

The focus of today’s training was Character, in particular, how to harness our values and character strengths approach for effective learning and for future pathways.
