It was a packed house at Ulumbarra Theatre this morning when BSSC’s Year 11 students attended their first assembly at the college, hosted by Sam Graham.

Principal, Dale Pearce, encouraged students to keep focussed.

“This is a journey and we want you to have the best possible start you can – be prepared for what’s ahead because things don’t always go to plan.”

A number of staff spoke about the responsibilities of being BSSC students, our inclusive culture and the many leadership and sporting opportunities available.

The audience was treated to a performance by Josh Russell and Tait Poyser, who performed an acoustic cover of David Bowie’s ‘Starman’.

We wish all our new and returning students a fantastic start to the year.
