2018 Communities in Control Conference

Are you interested in community leadership? Want to interact with Australia’s best thinkers, leaders and doers?

You won’t want to miss this incredible opportunity to attend the 2018 Communities in Control Conference.

Each year 15 lucky Bendigo Senior Secondary College students are sponsored to attend this two-day conference, which explores inspiring ideas and opinions from distinguished community leaders including:

 Stan Grant, journalist, author; Annabel Crabb, TV personality, ABC political journalist; Professor Gillian Triggs, Former President, Australian Human Rights Commission, Writer; Jamila Rizvi, author, presenter, political commentator

When: Monday 28th  – Tuesday 29th May

Students must commit to the full two days to be eligible to attend.

Where: Moonee Valley Racing Club in Melbourne. Accommodation will be at the Space Hotel, Russell St, Melbourne.

Cost: $105 for accommodation, transport and lunches. Students will also need to use their own myki card for train travel.

(The normal cost to attend the conference is $385, so this is a substantial opportunity for our students!)
