Experience some of the most remote and spectacular wilderness scenery in Australia as part of the 2016 BSSC Self-Challenge Trek in South-East Tasmania.

The challenge

Trek for six days across challenging terrain in the harsh environment of Tasmania’s iconic Overland Track that can include snow at any stage of the year.

The landscape

Walk through rainforest with trees that are thousands of years old and pristine moss-covered waterfalls. Visit Cradle Mountain and the hundreds of alpine lakes; home to endemic plants and animals.

The history

Discover the history of Aboriginal occupation, animal trapping, grazing and mining that all led to the eventual World Heritage Listing of the area.

Date: Wednesday 16 March to Wednesday 23 March 2016 – 8 days

Approx cost $1400 – $1600 Includes 1 day/ night in Launceston and 1 day/night in Hobart. $500 Deposit due by Tuesday 8 December 2015
