In partnership with local organisations Coliban Water, the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, and the North Central Catchment management Authority, young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from BSSC and Castlemaine Secondary College have a wonderful opportunity to gain workplace experience by taking up a school-based apprenticeship.
This morning students met in the Ulumbarra Café with representatives from GVGT and the BSSC Careers and Pathways team to practice for their upcoming interviews and learn valuable communication and presentation skills that will give them the very best opportunity for success.
Successful students will begin a two-year school-based apprenticeship, working one day a week with one of the organisations, and give themselves a great opportunity for employment beyond Year 12.
