The Tertiary Information Service (TIS) rolled into Bendigo today with representatives from more than 20 universities, tafes, and other further education institutions gathering in the BSSC gym to answer students’ questions about VTAC and transitioning to tertiary education after BSSC.

BSSC Careers and Pathways Coordinator, Naomi Flint, said it was great to see so many students attend the event.

“It was a great opportunity for students to begin thinking about and researching pathway options,” she said. “TIS means the students can access information from a broad range of tertiary institutions in a short space of time.”

Year 12 student, Isabelle, said it was great to get a heads-up about VTAC early on in the year.

“The uni staff were all super friendly and approachable,” she said. “They were able to answer every question I had and I came away with some course ideas I hadn’t considered.”
