Congratulations to the BSSC Student Council and Kelly Phan for their nominations as finalists in VIC SRC Recognition awards for 2016. Student voices are indeed being heard at our college!
Along with Braybrook, Mount Waverley and Mount Alexander Colleges, BSSC Student Council has been nominated as a finalist for the Department of Education and Training SRC of the Year in the secondary category. Student Council member, Kelly Phan has also been nominated as one of three finalists in the Newsboys Foundation Youth Leadership Award.
Events and communications officer for VicSRC said, “The calibre of entries in the secondary category was outstanding, and BSSC is one of four finalists selected from all across the state.”
Well done to Paul and John from BSSC’s Communications team who worked with the Student Council to produce BSSC’s entry video.
Over the next four weeks we will be part of the count down to the VicSRC Recognition Awards ceremony, where best practice student voice is celebrated and $20,000 in grants is awarded to schools all across Victoria.
2016 VicSRC Recognition Awards Ceremony will be held on Tuesday 18 October 2016, 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm at The Arena at NAB Village 700 Bourke St, Docklands, Melbourne. We wish our finalists Kelly and the SC all the best.
