The first week of Spring marks BSSC’s Wellbeing Week – Monday 29 August to “Wear It Purple Day” on Friday 2 September. This year the great range of free activities and events promises to be bigger and better than ever.

There will be food, live music, pop-up stalls, and of course Market Day in the Ulumbarra Plaza.  All activities are designed to make us feel better about ourselves both physically and emotionally.

Check out the huge range of events and activities running throughout the college next week and be sure to get involved:

Monday

9.50 am: Year 12 photo and morning tea. All Year 12 students will pose for a group photo on the Anzac lawn before heading to James King Hall for morning tea.

12.50 pm: Free barbeque at the Ulumbarra Plaza with stalls from more than a dozen youth agencies including Yo Bendigo, Victoria Police, Carer support, and BCHS financial counselling.

Tuesday

10.40 am: Pop-up stalls in the Ulumbarra Café with a self-esteem theme. VET Hospitality students will be roving the school with tasty bite-size morsels that are sure to bring a smile.

Wednesday

10.40 am: Pop up stall in café

12.50 pm:  Live band in the Ulumbarra Plaza. Photo booth, Minute to win it, Mini wellbeing stall, showbags, physical activities and yoga in U2.

Thursday

12.50 pm: VCAL market day – Market stalls, food stalls, live music and DJ set, handcrafted goods, recycled clothing, and fun activities.

Friday – ‘Wear It Purple’ day

12.50 pm: Let’s get physical! Play table tennis, bocce, quoits and other physical activities. There’ll also be inclusivity and sustainability stalls and live music.

Random acts of kindness are encouraged throughout all of wellbeing week for staff and students.
