Athletics – Loddon Mallee Region finals

It was a very successful day at this week’s Loddon Mallee Region athletics finals. Our 13 participating athletes picked up 26 medals between them.

Gold medals:

Abbey Hromenko – hurdles, high jump, triple jump, high jump, relay

Niah Langtree – 100m, 200m, relay

Bree Heiden – shot put, discus, javelin

Kenan Seebah – 100m, 400m

Daniel Baldwin – hurdles

Lauren White – 1500m

Kobe Henderson – 1500m

Eden Dunstone – relay

Maddie Kleyn – relay

Silver medals:

Hamish Wild – 100m, long jump

Lauren White – 3000m

Mitch O’Neill – 3000m

Julian Langtree – triple jump

Daniel Baldwin – 400m

Bronze medals:

Kobe Henderson – 3000m

Julian Langtree – high jump

Fourth placings:

Eddie Neame – 100m, 200m, 400m

All gold medallists (along with Mitch O’Neill in the 3000m) will now progress to the SSV State Finals on Friday 18 October in Melbourne.

Australian Schools Orienteering championships

Caitlyn Steer has just returned from representing Victoria at the Australian Schools Orienteering Championships. The carnival was part of the biennial Oceania Orienteering Championships. Caitlyn competed in the sprint, long distance, and relay events at the schools championships, and the Oceania Long Distance Championships.
